Environmental soil investigations

We conduct environmental surveys to support town planning, construction, assessment of environmental impacts and decision-making. The environmental baseline studies and risk assessment need to be supported by data on soil and groundwater properties. Our extensive information database and vast expertise in geology and geochemistry are key factors in research related to soil and groundwater protection and in research on the state of and changes to the environment.

We offer the following services

Geophysical and geochemical monitoring of the state of the soil
Environmental risk assessments
Acid sulfate soil surveys
Background concentration

ASROCKS-project

The main objective of the ASROCKS project is to provide guidelines and risk management tools for the exploitation of natural aggregate resources (crushed bedrock, sand and gravel) in areas with naturally elevated arsenic concentrations in the bedrock and soil in the Tampere-Häme region in southern Finland.
