Mining industry

Nickel, zinc, copper, chrome and gold form Finland's most significant metal mineral resources. The demand for metallic minerals continues to increase and Finland’s bedrock has the potential to meet the increasing demand.

Broadly speaking, industrial minerals include all minerals and rocks that have industrial use, excluding metallic minerals, mineral fuels and jewels. Usability of industrial minerals is based on their physical or chemical properties, and they are used in manufacturing products that are often necessary and that we use every day.
