Map Products

Geological mapping programmes produce basic information for the needs of the extractive industry, land use planning, construction and environmental protection. Ongoing mapping programmes are: Bedrock 1:100 000 and Quaternary Deposits 1:20 000. Bedrock 1:100 000 is currently the only map series that is published also as paper prints.

Our policy is to make substantially more map products accessible through the Internet, for example vector map data on bedrock and surficial deposits. The concept of online map servers will be renewed.

The GTKMAPS database contains most of our map production since 1879.
