Adapting to climate change in the countries surrounding the Baltic
The third international BaltCICA conference was held on 18–19 January 2012 in Helsinki. The purpose of the conference was to present practical methods of adapting to the effects of climate change in the Baltic Sea Region. The project duration has been from February 2009 to January 2012.

Outokumpu Deep Drilling Project’s results are available
In the Outokumpu Deep Drilling Project a 2.5 km deep hole was drilled for research purposes in an area well known for its metal ores. The results show that host rocks of the Outokumpu type deposits can be located with reflection seismics and that they might be much more common in the area than previously assumed.
